Any individual requiring nursing and/or a rehabilitative therapy is eligible for home health care. The nurses work with the patient’s physician and complete an assessment and implement a plan of care.
Who pays for home health care?
Many health insurance policies pay for home health services, such as Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicaid, private insurances, and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). Call us first and we will help you find out what your insurance will pay for. As a not-for-profit provider, UPMC Home Healthcare of Central Pennsylvania provides services regardless of the ability to pay or insurance coverage.

Anyone can make a referral to UPMC Home Healthcare of Central PA. Call us and our healthcare professionals will work closely with an individual’s primary care physician to begin providing services.
