On Saturday, November 16, 2013, live music, giveaways, games, and family fun will combine in the Third Annual Patched Together concert at The Bavarian Hall, 112 S. 13th St., Altoona. This annual all-day event harnesses the power of music to raise funds on behalf of the Home Nursing Agency Healing Patch: A Program for Loss and Hope for Grieving Children and Their Families.
Founded in 2006, the Healing Patch program provides free supportive services to children and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Staffed primarily by volunteers, the Healing Patch is funded by Home Nursing Agency Hospice and the Home Nursing Agency Foundation, donations and grants, and various fundraisers.
Patched Together 2013 features a wide variety of local and regional bands and musicians including Mama Corn, Chris V, Jim Donovan and the Sun King Warriors, The Overtones, Nobody’s Heroes, The Benefit Band, Cottonmouth, G’Street, The Backyard Rockers, Dirtkicker, Pure Cane Sugar, and the Hawks. This year’s concert will run from 2 p.m.-midnight and features basket raffles, giveaways, contests and prizes in-between performances. Admission is only $5.00 or FREE with the purchase of a Patched Together 2013 t-shirt!
