December 2009 - WJAC-TV Spotlights Kruisin Kompany's "Spirit of Giving" at ACEL Christmas Party WJAC-TV Reporter, Abbie Tang, tracked Santa's visit to members and staff at Home Nursing Agency's Adult Center for Exceptional Learning (ACEL) during the 8th annual Christmas Party sponsored by Kruisin Kompany. The economic downturn has hurt the group's fundraising efforts and membership, but this did not stymie their efforts to provide another special party this year for ACEL members at the Lakemont-based center. "We are all about giving, but the economy and dwindling membership has made it more difficult to raise funds," said Kruisin Kompany spokesman, Craig Meyers. "We hope the news broadcast will pique the interest of other classic car owners and that they'll give us a call, especially when they see how our fundraisers support a very special group of individuals." These classic car enthusiasts admire ACEL's mission to provide support to individuals with severe cognitive and developmental disabilities. Flanked by a WJAC cameraman and ACEL Director, Lorrie Hetager, Kruisin' Kompany members were filmed as they presented ACEL members with stockings full of goodies. ACEL was also gifted with a large filing cabinet, a photo printer, a large white board, plenty of treats and many other amenities to benefit ACEL members. "We are very grateful for all their generous efforts, and the ACEL members really enjoy this special day," said Lorrie. For more information, visit www.kruisinkompany.org.
