Home Nursing Agency Foundation Awards Grants to Agency Programs and Services

On October 11, Home Nursing Agency Foundation Board approved the awarding of 11 Foundation Grants to programs and services within the VNA and CS companies.

The 11 grants awarded total approximately $51,597 and represent the second round of funding for the fiscal year 7/1/06 to 6/30/07. Approximately $42,161 was granted in the first round in April 2006. With the board's approval, the Foundation has allocated for this fiscal year a total of $110,097 to assist our clients, programs and services. (See grant recipients below.)

Since the grants inception in April 2005, the Foundation has proudly granted $169,508 to program and services allowing staff to make a tremendous impact in the lives of people we serve.

All donations received by Home Nursing Agency are placed in the Home Nursing Agency Foundation, the depository of all public and private contributions. From this unrestricted account, a percentage of funds is then redistributed directly back to programs and services through the form of grants. These grants are critical to the health and well-being of our communities and have been a great resource to staff. Grants are awarded bi-annually and applications for grants are submitted in January and July of each year. Funds are then allocated in April and October after Foundation board approval.
