 Cambria County Area Agency on Aging Partners with Agency on Disease Management As part of an on-going effort to help seniors prevent and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, Home Nursing Agency and the Cambria County Area Agency on Aging have partnered to offer free glucose testing at senior centers throughout Cambria County during the month of June. "Our primary goal is to empower seniors to manage their diseases by providing them with the knowledge and tools to do so," said Sharon Hartnett, coordinator of PrimeTime Health, which leads the county's health promotion efforts for the Area Agency of Aging. "We want to educate seniors on preventative measures, and even the current treatment options," added Hartnett. PrimeTime Health is providing the funding for the glucose testing supplies, and Home Nursing Agency Patient Care Coordinator, Lynn Watt, will perform the glucose screenings. Blood pressure screenings were also held in conjunction with the glucose testing.
