 Pain Management Teleconference Held April 5 The Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center hosted Hospice Foundation of America's 13th Annual Teleconference focusing on Pain Management at the End of Life. The teleconference was held on Wednesday, April 5 from 1 - 5 p.m. and was sponsored by the Altoona Regional Health System, Home Nursing Agency Hospice Program, and Contact Altoona. Several panelists from around the region joined the conference panelist for question and answer segments and discussion. Local panelists included Georgine Safko-Dodson, Home Nursing Agency Hospice Clinical Nurse Specialist; Judy Lankes, Home Nursing Agency Hospice Social Worker; Home Nursing Agency Hospice Chaplain, Reverend Joe Shawley; and Amy Swindell, DO, Huntingdon Family Care Associates, LLC. Continuing education credits were available for nurses, social workers, clergy, psychologists, counselors, physicians, case managers, and nursing home administrators.
