Home Nursing Agency Recognizes Employees

Donna Isenberg, of Tyrone, was presented with the Commitment to Community Award in honor of Mary B. Kraft Award from President/CEO Robert Packer during the employee recognition brunch. Donna has been with the Agency since 1990 and serves as the Agency's Director of Management Support Services.

During Home Nursing Agency's Annual Employee Recognition Breakfast held last month, more than 850 employees of the organization were recognized for outstanding service and dedication. The event, held at the Blair County Convention Center, also commemorated the Agency's ranking as the fourth Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania and kicked off the Agency's 10,000 Steps Health and Wellness program.

In keeping with tradition, the employees were presented awards for perfect attendance and years of service. The following employees also garnered special recognition through a nomination process completed by coworkers.

The Extra Effort Award is given to individuals who consistently and willingly go beyond the call of duty to make a difference for co-workers and people who are entrusted within the Agency's care. The following were recipients: Linda Lyon of Bedford, Home Nursing Agency Hospice Nurse; Dorey Marsh of Duncansville, Child Development Specialist, Easter Seals Central Pennsylvania; and Rose Leiden of Hollidaysburg, Financial Secretary, Behavioral Health/Community Services

The Hand and Hearts Award recognizes a Homemaker/Home Health Aide, or Program Assistant who demonstrate a strong commitment to the values of the Agency through a caring and respectful attitude for individuals and families entrusted to their care: Patricia Flemming of Coalport, Home Nursing Agency Home Health Aide; Vicky Snyder of Altoona, Program Assistant for Home Nursing Agency's Adult Center for Exceptional Learning; Rebecca Benton of Altoona, Home Nursing Agency's Home Health Aide and LuAnn Schofield of Bedford, Home Nursing Agency Home Health Aide

The Spirit Award is a new award in memory of the late Larry Hite, who is remembered by staff, customers and coworkers as a person who not only believed in living life to its fullest, but who also “lived and breathed” it everyday. The Spirit Award has been designed to recognize employees who consistently demonstrate characteristics described by Larry's staff and customers such as remaining non-judgmental, recognizing the positive, reflecting genuine care, exhibiting abundant energy and humor. This year's recipient was Brian Crowley of Altoona, Case Manager, Behavioral Health/Community Services

The Commitment to Community award is presented annually to the employee most exemplifying the ideals and values of Home Nursing Agency. The award was presented to Donna Isenberg of Tyrone, Director of Management Support Services, Behavioral Health/Community Services.
