 HOME NURSING AGENCY EARNS TOP 10 RANKING IN BEST PLACES to WORK in PA What makes Home Nursing Agency A Great Place to Work? The dedicated employees and board members have created a culture that affirms what we define as a great workplace. Home Nursing Agency was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania by Great Place to Work® Institute, an independent company, which also conducts Fortune Magazine's 100 best companies to work for in America. Home Nursing Agency ranked eighth among large companies and was honored at the Best Places to Work in PA awards ceremony held on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. At the heart of our definition of a great place to work is where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with. These defining characteristics, along with what the Great Place to Work® Institute calls a "culture audit", were measured in an independent, random survey of full and part-time employees of Home Nursing Agency and Easter Seals Central Pennsylvania and were the cornerstone for the prestigious declaration. The surveys were mailed to the employees' homes in June of last year. To be included in the results, employees were responsible for mailing the completed survey back to the Great Place to Work® Institute by a certain date. The survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in PA. The Best Places to Work in PA program is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 50 medium sized companies (50- 250 employees) and 50 large sized companies (more than 250 employees). The award program, created in 2000, is the first of its kind offered by a state in the country. The program is a public/private partnership of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Team Pennsylvania Foundation, Kuntz Lesher LLP, Central Penn Business Journal, the Great Place to Work® Institute, and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. The designation was employee-driven, and congratulations belong to all the employees of Home Nursing Agency. This is a tremendous honor and true reflection of the special people that are part of the "Home Nursing Agency Family". Moreover, it validates the exceptional culture created by Agency staff and adds significantly to our competitive advantage. Although the healthcare environment can easily be characterized as a pendulum in constant motion, the timeless principles of compassionate care and respect have remained true and relevant in the hearts and minds of our employees.
