This week we celebrate and recognize the volunteers who serve throughout Home Nursing Agency's diverse programs and service area.
Pictured above are some of our Home Nursing Agency Hospice and Healing Patch volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon last June. Volunteers give of their time and talents to support patients/clients and families in many of the Agency's home- and community-based programs, and their selfless dedication is greatly appreciated!
Volunteers serve in a variety of ways, including:
- Providing companionship for and support of hospice patients
- Respite for caregivers of hospice patients
- Administrative/clerical support
- Visiting, calling, or writing notes for grieving family members of hospice patients who have passed away
- Supporting clients of the Adult Center for Exceptional Learning (ACEL)
- Support grieving children and families attending the Healing Patch by serving as a group facilitator, food server, and/or greeter
- Complete sewing projects for children served by the Healing Patch or whose loved ones are hospice patients
Thank YOU to each of our special volunteers. Without them, our mission to serve people with the highest quality of customer service would not be possible!
