 Seltzer Chosen As Honorary Chair for Home Nursing Agency's Summer Event Irving Seltzer, Altoona, was selected as the Honorary Chairperson for Home Nursing Agency's Summer Party - A Celebration of Life - held on Saturday, May 29 at the Hemlock Estates, Laurel Lodge in Duncansville. The event, held in conjunction with Home Nursing Agency's Hospice Mercedes Moment, in which a new Mercedes Sedan was given away, included dinner, entertainment and both a silent and live auction. The community care dollars raised from events like the Summer Party and the Hospice Mercedes Moment are reinvested right back into local communities and are targeted for the essential needs of those experiencing personal hardships due to life-limiting illnesses. These dollars also perpetuate the Agency's steadfast mission of providing health care for anyone in need - regardless of their ability to pay. “Our family was fortunate to have an established support system when my late wife, Joan, was in the care of the Agency's hospice program, but we realize not every family has access to the vital care, support or the resources needed when a loved one is facing a life-limiting illness. We know these funds are channeled to the families living right here in our communities,” Irving Seltzer said.
