Home Nursing Agency's Marketing Specialists Help Girl Scouts Launch Project

Girl Scout Troop 719 of Ebensburg is now closer to obtaining the highest award available to a Girl Scout Cadet by making an educational excursion to the Home Nursing Agency Administrative Office earlier this month. Home Nursing Agency's Human Resource Director, Michelle Scanlon, is a co-leader of the Troop, which is comprised of 11 girls ranging from 12-14 years of age.

The Silver Award is within the members' reach after consulting with the staff of the Agency's Marketing and Community Relations Department on the best methods to successfully launch their community service project - a requirement for the award. The training session provided them with a media information kit and apprised them of marketing terminology in addition to various examples of different media opportunities available to promote the Troop's worthy cause.

The Troop will be collecting quilts for Conemaugh's Regional Intensive Care Nursery through April. Quilts or afghans will be given to premature all babies. They can be homemade (36x48 or 30x40) or purchased. The quilts and afghans as well as monetary donations will be accepted at Ebandjieff Health Center, Lloyd Street, Nanty Glo; Park Hill Medical Center, William Penn Avenue, Park Hill; Norcam Community Health Center, Route 219, St. Benedict. If donations need to be picked up, please contact Marcy Brodish at 814.472.9766
